walk to art was conceived in 2006, in New York, as Bernadette Alibrando pounded the pavements from Brooklyn to Chelsea, while working at pre-eminent gallery Silverstein Photography. Before leaving for New York, Alibrando was an art consultant with a large, Melbourne-based commercial gallery group.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts (majoring in Photography) from the Victorian College of the Arts, Alibrando has a keen eye for design, line and colour. For three years Alibrando held one of only six positions on the Advisory Committee of Art Beat – the young members' program at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), in Melbourne.
