walk-to-art Japan takes you to the Seto Inland Sea islands. A must see for those who appreciate the beauty of contemporary art and architecture. Be inspired by the magical discoveries as history, nature and art intertwine.
This boutique tour is hosted by Bernadette Alibrando, an experienced visual arts professional. A lover of art and food, she is keen to share her "hidden" local finds whilst on tour.
walk-to-art Japan takes place annually. You will join a small group (no more than 6 participants; adults only) and be led through the mystical Seto Inland Sea islands.
In this special tour, walk-to-art will take you to Naoshima, Teshima and Inujima to visit art spaces, museums, projects and installations.
The group will travel daily to the islands, discovering contemporary art and architecture, enjoying coffee, sake or lunch before returning back to Uno Port.
Relax afterwards at Setouchi Onsen Tamanoyu, conveniently located next to the hotel, a natural hot spring with serene open air baths.
Prior to departure, participants will receive information revealing the meeting place and instructions for each day of the tour. Please note: a good level of fitness is required to walk around the islands.
